Assembly line workers are responsible for assembling components or vehicles as a finished product. There may be some people management and reporting requirements associated with this role. When it comes to manufacturing, this role is often known for producing items from raw materials through the use of processes such as welding, sewing, pressing, machining and painting. Some basic programming and setting up of machinery may be required.


The role of a production worker is to operate equipment and machinery as efficiently and effectively as possible to facilitate the production process. Machinery is regularly inspected for defects and malfunctions, which are reported immediately to production workers for repairs or replacement.


Before releasing the finished product, they conduct quality checks to ensure customer satisfaction and avoid delays in shipping. To prevent hazards in the production area, all production workers must follow safety standards and protocols set by management.


Material Handlers / Pick Packers


Material handlers move products, merchandise, stock, or other materials by hand. They are also called package handlers, warehouse associates, or hand laborers. They work in a variety of supply chains, including manufacturing and production, shipping and storage, and customer service. Work tasks may include loading and unloading machines, cleaning vehicles, and packing materials.


In a warehouse setting, pick packers to assist with filling orders. Staff members of the supply chain are responsible for managing inventory and packaging goods. In addition to other supply chain management professionals, Pick Packers are part of the warehouse team. Assisting with the distribution of retail goods, they commonly work in the retail sector.


Warehouse Workers


Many industrial warehouse jobs involve receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and packing orders, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Warehouses are critical to the supply chain, where they store goods and equipment until they're prepared for distribution to shops, stores, supermarkets, and online retailers.


Forklift Operator


Forklift operators relocate packages and materials among various facilities. To ensure efficiency and safety, you must operate a forklift with the utmost care. Driving to and from warehouses, storage facilities, and other locations could be a part of your job.
